Increased Cold in Lahore after First Winter Rain:

The Meteorological Department has forecast colder weather in various parts of the country due to the arrival of clouds. In Lahore, the first winter rain intensified the cold. Early morning showers were reported in areas such as Garhi Shahu, Abbott Road, Mall Road, Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Model Town, Gulberg, Kalma Chowk, & Garden Town, with a possibility of continued rain throughout the day.

Rainfall in Other Regions of Punjab:

Kasur, Kahana, Pakpattan, and Renala Khurd also experienced rainfall, adding to the chill. The plains of Punjab, Upper Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to witness foggy conditions during the morning and night hours.

The mercury dropped significantly in hilly areas:

  • Gopas: -11°C
  • Gilgit and Dir: -9°C
  • Astor: -7°C

  • Quetta, Ziarat, and Chitral: -5°C

The Meteorological Department predicts more Cold Weather across the country, with very chilly conditions during morning and night in the hilly regions. Light rain and snowfall are expected over the mountains. In Lahore, residents should prepare for colder mornings and evenings following the rain.
